| - 2002 Cayuse Syrah Cailloux - USA, Washington, Walla Walla Valley (2/5/2006)
Poppedin a restaurant, with a VERY HEAVY splash decant and aggressive swirling. Allowed to rest about 20 minutes, then in the glass. Suprisingly smooth for such a young wine, lacking the typical in-your-face fruit. Very fine tanins, really quite a nice wine. This is the 3rd Cayuse I've had in recent months and this had the nicest profile of the bunch (bionic frog right out of a friends shipper 2 months ago was incredibly tight, don't recall the other one) (90 pts.)
