| | Downed a bottle last night over the course of dinner and watching the Steelers stink up what IMO could have been a winnable game...anyway...though my mood was sour - the wine was drinking nicely...rich and dark - the tannins had settled considerably (and were not at all intrusive) since the last one of these I opened nearly 1 year ago. Blueberry, dark chcolate, licourace and black pepper are the flavor elements that came through and as I said much softer then when tasted earlier - almost with a bit of a merlot profile (though I often get that from Wash State cabs....)...perhaps an upper 80s to 90 wine - very pleasent and I'm happy to have more of this as well as a 6 pack of the 02. My previous experience with this producer/wine had been a bottle of the 99 vintage CS as well as a (now discontinued I understand) Merlot - both of which drank similarly... | | | |

| | No wonder (the merlot element) - I was just tossing the bottle when I noticed it is 15% Merlot!)...duh.. | | | |
