| Took it with us to a nice little Italian restuarant for a family celebration. Very dark wine, but a little short on the nose. Charcoal, smokey and wood, with a little red fruit. At this point the fruit is lacking. Have I opened the bottle too early, too late or is this just the way it is???? This was 81% sangiovese, 15% syrah and 4% Cabernet sauvignon. Personally, the wood dominates too much for my taste, but that is not mine. If you like heavy oak, you may really enjoy this. I personally think the $50 price in the wine shop (not restaurant) is too steep. IMHO it was too much oak vs. the low level of fruit. From Leonetti's reputation, I expected more. | | | |

| Sounds like if it had stayed in the bottle a bit longer it MIGHT have smoothed out a bit.
Too bad. This is one I would have loved to have tried. | | | |
