Color is a dense, dark purple without any sign of aging. Displaying concentrated fruit, blueberries, cassis, spice, and tar the excellent nose on this wine is somewhat reminiscent of the wonderful 1994. On the palate is somewhat linear, failing to deliver quite the concentration the nose would imply. Tannins are slightly coarse, but the wine is still very fine and enjoyable. Finishes long and clean. 92 points, drink now-2008.
