| | There are very few people who can be considered to be the cornerstone of an entire American industry. (Henry Ford, Ray Kroc, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Charles Goodyear, Walt Disney). Robert Mondavi was certainly one of them. | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| | Stacey was having lunch at Martini House. When the news arrived, the restaurant bought a round of drinks for the whole restaurant, so they could all toast Bob. | | | |

| | A legend! I am not sure if any one or not too many in this country did more for the wine industry. Because of people like him, I am a wino, we are winos, we have sites like VC, etc... Like Rothko said, he lived a full life that is all one can ask. | | | |

| | P.S.: One of the reasons & one of the wines that made me fall in love with wine is a 92 Robert Mondavi Reserve Cab Sauv. | | | |

| | In the mid-70s, his was the only decent wine in many restaurants. He really was on the vanguard of changing the way we view dining and wine. RIP | | Heater Allen Brewing

| | Also, Alois Luis Kracher passed away. He was much younger, 49. For many years Krachers were some of my fav sweet wines. Great stuff, I loved it. These days, probably due to the Euro, gas/delivery charges, etc... they are much more expensive. I no longer buy the wines. But, as mentioned in the SQN Mailer, a great passionate wine personality passed away. | | | |
