I'm thinking about springing for a Burghound subscription. Anyone have comments for me?

If you enjoy burgundies, it should be considered indispensable and is absolutely worth the subscription price. No other publication comes close to matching its coverage and Meadow's tasting notes are clearly written and very informative.

What Wineaux said. I'll add that synching with his palate (Meadows') was a little difficult but the notes do help with overall benchmarks of quality. Web only is the way to go. I am not on board with most of his Champagne reviews.
I just had a milestone where I stopped receiving the Wine Advocate in paper copy. I just wasn't reading it when I spend most of my time online and will do the same with Tanzer when it comes up for renewal.

It's too expensive IMHO. If I had it to do all over again, I would have skipped the Burghound subscription and used the money to buy a sports car and a vacation villa.

If you're doing Burgundy it is a must.
Lots of stuff besides the tasting notes I subscribe to the web only.
IMHO Parker' understanding of what Burgundy should taste like is somewhat lacking.

If you like burgundy (or are just getting into it), it's completely indispensible. It is my favorite publication - BY FAR.
