| We're opening the following for our next Cave Club: 2002 Marques de Griñón Petit Verdot 2002 Marques de Griñón Emeritus 2002 Vall Llach Priorat 2003 Clos Mogador Priorat These are all big, big wines. I'm wondering if opening them the night before has any value. Otherwise, I'll certainly open them the morning of the drinking (def. drinkings, not tastings ) | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| I'd open them in the morning, immediately after brushing my teeth. That way, I would not be the least bit tempted to sip them! If I opened them in the evening, the temptation would be too great. | | Beta testing a new signature. | |

| | Well, I'd open them here at the shop and then go home. That way, no temptation until breakfast! | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| | I'd open them the night before, taste, and make your decision about whether to decant then, leave the bottles open, or vacuvin/gas resealed bottles overnight. If you gas the resealed bottles and leave at cellar temp, you shouldn't have too much progression if not desired. | | Randy Sloan Match Vineyards | |

| | Let me know how the Vall Lach is tasting. Last time I was here (Barcelona), I found a store around the corner from where I'm staying that was loaded to the gils with all three bottlings. I'm headed there as soon as it opens tomorrow :-D | | | |

| | Picked up 2 x 2004 Embruix and some other stuff (Trio Infernal, etc.). The 05 Embruix comes in end of month, so I might offer one up to the infanticide gods. They've got the 04 Vall Llach flagship for 51 euros (including a discount), but not sure I want to pull the trigger on that, given the exchange rate :-( | | | |

| When I tasted the 04 a few weeks ago I didn't consider it a buy. | | | |

| | The Vall Llach was good, not great. Don't think I see the 93-94 rating it got. All in all, the whole card suffered from "good not great." | | Visit The Butcher Block at http://www.butcherblocktampa.com/ | |

| | That's too bad. I figured you had to score with either the Vall Llach or the Clos Mogador. Have heard nothing but great things via Board-O on both. | | | |
