Come on - who is going to spring for this? Not moi. NYT article on Krug's Clos d' Ambonnay ($3K+ per bottle)

Unfortunately, Krug has surpassed what I am willing to pay for a bottle of bubbles or any white wine. Sad to say, but I am not paying $200+ for it.

Another fine product from Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy Yquem Krug Your Name Here. Let's just buy up all the luxury brands and capitalize on them? Yquem deodorant? Hermes pens? 3K for ANY bottle of wine is stupid, imho. But 3K dollars is a lot less than 3K Euros or 3K pounds, so I guess it is all relative. So I guess Krug NV is now a second label?

So I guess Krug NV is now a second label? Actually a fourth label if you throw in the $1000 Clos du Mesnil and the vintage Bruts.

Yep, even the N/V Krug is well over $100 in these parts.
