| | That's a good purchase for LVMH...not to mention it further legitimizes Toro and other lesser known regions of Spain as sources for truly world class wines. | | | |

It can't be good if you like lower prices. And Vine has a point on LMVH. I see what they are doing with Krug pricing and it doesn't bode well there.

I've never considered this to be a "luxury" producer. Certainly not in the same way Krug and d'Yquem are. But I have no doubt that they will now market these wines as Spanish luxury wines and will price them accordingly. | | Beta testing a new signature.

| | I've always considered them great QPR wines... a yearly favorite to go out and find. But not sure I want to spend $45 for a Termes or $80 for a Toro. | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| | I would opt to drink Pintia or San Roman before drinking Numanthia - it does seem like an odd fit for LVMH though. | | | |

Agreed. At $20-$25 and $45-$55 respectively. both the Termes and Numanthia are clear buys...but were they to increase to the prices you describe I will no longer purchase after 2005.

| | I was just making those prices up... but the point you make Vine is certainly the same as mine.... any big increase, and they've lost a few customers | | If you drink wine, you get smarter.... | |

| Oh well, time to find something else to to replace it with. i can imagine prices will nearly double over the next couple of vintages. I'm constantly on the lookout for great wines priced at $50 or less to enjoy whenever I feel like popping a cork guilt free, I've got enough $100+ bottles already in my cellar.
I'd be qurious to learn what impact, if any, this will have on Jorge Ordonez, the importer to the US. I think he'll end up on the short end of the stick. An obvious part of the wines appeal was the QPR. With the buyout that will disappear quickly
