had sworn off timeshares, but this might change my mind.

I figure 20 people at $100K each would equal 18 days use per year. If it's kept as a B&B any income would offset and act as a dividend to the owners. Of course, someone would have to run it...

Given the price of real estate in California Wine Country, I actually think that the price of this property is a steal.  Though it looks like the upkeep could be brutal, not to mention French taxes.

Given the price of real estate in most desirable places the price appears decent. Jimmyv is right about the upkeep - those old places have major plumbing and electrical problems.
