WIML 2007 Top 100 Wines of the Year

It is that time of year again my fellow wine lovers. As is the custom the first of each New Year the WIML Top 100 Wines of the Year are being released for your viewing pleasure.

2007 was another exciting year in wine for me. I continued my love affair with the "offline" with the number of events ticking back up slightly to 47 tasting events in 2007.ÂAlong the way I managed to taste a little under 1,100 wines in producing this list.ÂVirtually every one of those wines was shared with a fellow forum member.ÂThus we come to the purpose of this list.

Please take special note of the asterisk (*) to right of the majority of the wines on this list.ÂThis indicates the only reason I had the opportunity to taste many of these wonderful wines was because I attended an offline with fellow forum members and those people were gracious enough to bring the fabulous wines you see listed here.ÂThis list is a testimony to the generosity of some of the finest people you’ll ever meet in your life: the members of this forum.ÂI continue to preach the gospel of attending offlines and encourage each and every one of you to attend one soon.

Have a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year in 2008 and I hope to see you soon at an offline.

Glad to see the 1959 Jacques Priuer, the 1990 Krug and the 1986 Krug Clos de Mesnil make it from your Hawaii visit. That '64 Conterno would have cracked your top ten too, if the bottle had bee sound. All the best to you in the new year.
