Rats, add Corra to my list.  That means that one or two among Corra, Abreu and Araujo has to go.  I am a sucker for new cab producers.Â

Chilly, Corra is the personal project of Celia Masyczek.  I first heard of her as the winemaker/consultant at Staglin.  She is currently the winemaker for a variety of Cab producers (DR Stephens, Keever, Husic, Scarecrow, etc.).   2004 was the first vintage for her Cabernet (250 cases total; 125 for mailing list).  She also makes a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc.  It will always be a low production type thing - never more than 350 cases.  In a perfect world, it will stay under the radar (it wasn't reviewed in the current WA).  I haven't tried the wine yet so this may be a one-shot deal for me.  I did manage to get in just under the wire before it sold out (my guess is that she is offering more than the initial 125 case to the mailing list as I had read that it was already sold out).  The list is still open.
