| With less than a month to go in 2007 time to start thinking about these.
Since there are still wines to be opened this year there might be updates (with any luck!). It must have been a little slower this year as I did not personally score any wines over 95 points. Lots of wines in the 91-93 pt range.
Big Reds 2001 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Riserva Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba 2000 Clos Erasmus Priorat 2003 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select
White 2004 Aubert Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard
Champagne 1990 Krug Champagne Brut
Sweet 2001 Château Climens 2001 Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Sélection de Grains Nobles
Some young wines but with undeniable quality. I have our 01 Climens buried so deep in the cellar I'm not sure exactly where they are.

| With almost a full month to go, there is time for this to change. But with the amount of plonk to be consumed at holiday parties, it is a safe bet that nothing will crack my current leaders in the club house. Cabernets based wines: 2001 D.R. Stephens "Moose Valley" Cabernet 2004 Hourglass (Not for what it is, but what it will become.) 2002 Insignia (Both for what it is and what it will become.) 1996 Peter Michael "Les Pavots"
Chardonnay: 2003 Aubert "Ritchie" (Budman would be upset if I didn't include this.) 2001 Kongsgaard 2004 L'Angevin "Heintz"
Pinot Noir: 2003 Aubert "Reuling" 2001 Martinelli "Blue Slide Ridge" 2004 Chasseur "Sylvia's" 2004 Kosta Browne "Cohn"
Sweet: 2003 Lafaurie Peyraguey Sauternes | | | Beta testing a new signature.

| My initial post has been edited to add: 2003 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select - it's taken some slack but it is a really fine Cabernet.
The '64 Conterno is in our queue - maybe New Year's Eve.

| There were a # of great wines. But, not many though 95+, but 1 stood out above the rest:
01 Togni Napa Valley Cab Sauv (mag): I know, Togni + 01 = infant + mag = are you kidding me?!?
And, on that night, it was singing, a beauty, 1 of those I will never forget. I must have been lucky & opened it @ that opportune time the wine was not “sleeping”. It was stunning, 98 easy. By the way, Parker 96 points.

I've only had it once and it was great. I also have a couple of bottles in the cellar. How long did you decant?
