Whilst this is true, in all honesty I have never "worried" about losing my collection, let alone "worried" about losing the data too.

I use a program called The RB's Cellar Master. Its free, it's a great program, I have complete control and it resides on my PC; which to me is an advanatge as I don't have to "worry" about the information being somewhere else.

We have bad bush fires every year; there was one in Victoria that started around Christmas that is now finally just out. I live in the country but my wine is located in town. As far my house being wiped out by a bush fire, I would have an infinitely greater chance of winning the lottery. About 600 people a year die on the roads in my state (due in no small part to very tough drink driving laws); thanks to great fire fighting less houses than that are destroyed by all natural disasters including electrical faults. I don't worry about being killed in a car smash but as the chances of that are far greater than losing my wine collection; perhaps I should.

Sorry, I can see how you would be confused. About 25 years ago, the road toll in NSW was close to 1100 a year and they brought in a 0.08 driving limit and random breath testing to support it. After a few years the legal blood alchol level dropped to 0.05; and more recently, for those on P Plates (people who have had their licences for less than 3 years) the level is now zero.

So despite the number of cars on the roads probably doubling in that period, the road toll has halved. There are other campaigns and factors that also helped, but the DUI laws have been the major contributor to the drop.
