| I picked this for several reasons. Number one is that it's a varietal that I believe will become a star in Oregon. I think it shows more promise than PN in Oregon.
Number two is that it's widely available.
Number three is a modest price. I believe it was about $15 from The Wine Exchange.
Number four is that I'm hoping the Canadians can get some.
It's the 2000 King Estate Pinot Gris Reserve.

| the search will begin. hopefully i will be able to find it locally. board-o, do you big the production is on this wine?
btw, this should be interesting as most people have very little experience with pinot gris. i think i have had it twice in my life.

| This should be fun. I love Pinot Gris. I have had mostly those from Alsace, but I have had a few (not this one) from Oregon...

| | Good call Board-O. I'm a big fan of Pinot Gris and hope your prediction of its success in Oregon comes true. I've had prior versions of the King Estate, but will withhold my comments until the proper time. This wine is available here and I'm looking forward to participating in January. | | | |

| | I'm a fan of the Adelshiem Pinot Gris, but I will look for the King Estate. In the past it has been decent but I have not had the newest vintage. | | | |

| Board-O, Wine Library has a King Estate Pinot Gris 2000 for $12.99. There's no mention of 'reserve'. Is there a regular bottling? I want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks.

| | Yeah, there's regular bottling and a reserve with the difference in price being $2 or $3. I doubt there's a tremendous difference so you could get the regular bottling if you can't find the reserve. | | | |

| Darn, just bought the regular bottling today for $13. Guess I will keep searching for the reserve.

| | I managed to pick up a bottle of the reserve this weekend so I am set. Somebody ordered a case and hadn't picked it up for three weeks so I scored one! $14.99 a bottle. Sigels in Addison, TX. | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| The best I can find in my area for the reserve (thanks, Board-O) is around $22 at Total Wine in Delaware. I will if I have to. | | | |

| Just a FYI, Looks like Wine Library has the 2001 Reserve for $15.99, but not the 2000. | | | |
