I have no more 94's, and 2 96's of this. How is it drinking? I keep staring at them, but with 2 left I am in brainlock mode. Also have 2 97's, but I've had that before.

Comments??

Thanks,

DBW

We brought this to dinner last Saturday night wtih some friends from Paris who are unfamiliar with California wines, it was a real hit. No decanting, it was only throwing moderate sediment. A really beautiful nose, perfumed and deep, and the wine continued to open up over the course of 2 hours without ever slowing down. It's drinking beautifully now, and will surely go for another few years easily. It made a very big hit with our friends

Good to hear, Eric. The last 2 bottles of the 95 I had were all oak and no fruit.
The last 96 I had (about 6 weeks ago) was just fine!

Well, that's odd!

LIke Eric & Teri, Carol and I had a '96 St. Francis with dinner this past weekend. Also consistent with their experience, there was remarkably little sediment, and we thought that it was singin' out of the bottle. It went wonderfully with pan seared filet with a cabernet deglaze and sauteed mushrooms.
Cheers, y'all

It was tasting very well last night, and under less than auspicious circumstances. Jill had to work late, and I was home with Blake. Since I was out of Valium, this bottle had to take its place.

It made a great substitute.

There is no hurry to drink my last bottle, but since it is drinking so well, I will choose to do so. But next time, I will pair it with a meal. Stemor's sounds great.

Mike
