I use these all the time and love them, anyone else have these? I purchase them through Wine Enthusiast and they're made in Germany by Schott Zwiesel.

Also, They are not quite as break resistant as you are led to believe, especially my favorites - the Bordauex model which is 11" tall and hold 25.9 oz., but IMHO, still much more break resistant than the Riedels that these replaced!

LB - Awesome, so you mean you can dump a whole bottle of wine in them and still have a half ounce of swirling room!

LOL, in your case I guess it's what you get after drinking 2/3 of the bottle (oops I mean glass).

So has anyone broken one of these glasses yet? Has anyone done a taste test of the Reidel or Spieglau against this glass?

I have broken one, (and no, it was NOT because the bowl of the glass was so full ) slipped out of my hands while washing it. This has actually happened a couple of times, but only one broke. I now wait until the following morning to wash them.

My old everyday glass was the Riedel Vinum and my special wine glass was the Sommelier series.
I don't use the Vinums' at all anymore and I've grown to prefer the Tritan stems over the Sommelier for a couple of reasons, size and shape. The size; the size of the Sommelier Bordeaux is actually larger! Only 10" tall (Tritan - 11"), but holds 30oz (Tritan 25.90z.). Too round for my tastes. The shape; with the Tritans standing one inch taller, the bowl is a liitle slimmer, and tapers to a smaller opening at the rim. For me, this truly brings the wines aromas and the wines tastes to me all at once, enhancing my enjoyment of the wine.

Hey, when you break as many glasses a year as I do you learn to live with it.

Do you have one of those special stemware racks or just in the dishwasher?

LOL!!!!!

As for the glasses, my cardinal rule is to never wash them that night. Just splash some water into the stems and let them sit until morning, when steadier hands will prevail.

my ex's sister bought me some cheap (but very nice) white wine glasses a few years back. They were nice, until the OTHER three of them had dropped the damn things and left me with just ONE glass!

GF knows she'll "pay" for breaking good stemware *wg* when I own it!

I'll check them out though. Tritan...
