Limited amount of time to visit in the Stag's Leap district. Please give me your recommendations regarding the best experience at:

Silverado
Pine Ridge
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars
Chimney Rock
Clos du Val

Thanks

Skip Silverado. Nothing interesting going on there anymore. Nothing @ all.

Why not make an appointment at Shafer? Their wines are pretty good across the board (better than any mentioned above anyway).

SLWC followed by the reserve tasting at Pine Ridge. Skip the other three on your list.

I second the recommendation on Shafer, although you'll want to make an appointment if you want a tour.

I forgot to mention that if you've never been before, Stag's Leap WC is a must visit so you can see the Fay vineyard. It's certainly important in the history of Napa Valley.

Not sure about the wines thought - I haven't had a SLWC bottling since the '97 vintage.

Problem with Shafer is the website says it's closed on weekends. Gonna be there on a weekend.

SLWC is my first choice. We're members of their Club 23. We notified them of the date and time of our arrival. They had a table set up on the patio for us. Kay Thompson of the winery had decanted a number of their wines the evening before for us, so that the wines would be raedy for our tasting. She opened anything additional we wnaed to try. The setting was beautiful and it was one of the tasting highlights of our trip.

I would vote for Hartwell and Silverado. The wines aren't that great, but its a great view, and they sometimes pour older wines as well. (I don't think they can sell them, so they pour 'em!)
Shafer has great wines, but unless you get a tour you are just visiting a sales room. But the winery dog (can't remember name) is fun!

Two more that come to mind: Regusci and Darjoush. I'm going from memory, but I believe they are all fairly close together.

Of those on your list I would go to Pine Ridge. Get a cave tour.

Not in the Stag's Leap District but very close would be Luna and/or Del Dotto. IMO Del Dotto is the "best" tour in the valley. Wines are pricey but you don't have to buy any. You need an appointment and the charge is $15 or something like that. Call the winery and ask for Cave Girl and tell her you are on the forums. She will probably comp you.

1) Stag's Leap Wine Cellars (Can't beat the tasting here...)
2) Silverado (Just did an event here and the winery / views were awesome)
3) Pine Ridge (Great variety of wines)

Regardless of where you visit, you are going to have a great time so relax and enjoy yourself!
