| ’97 Bartholomew Park Merlot
Picked this up at discount from the winery in November.
Dark fruit, tar and rosemary nose.
Brambly fruit, good complexity, med body nice finish with some bitter tannins.
Nice deep red, no browning; Should keep for a while longer, but won’t get any better (Drink Up).
I have always liked this winery, however on our last visit we found out that they had just changed winemakers.
Brian gives this one an 88 with a couple more sentimental points in there. | | | |
