| | I decided to try this one out (and clear out another slot in my wine unit) given WS' less than stellar review of it (86 points). Unfortunately, I have to agree with the WS rating. I decanted it and tasted it over 3 hours last night. The nose had a slightly sour, astringent character to it that never blew off. This characteristic continued through on the palate, which otherwise showed light fruit and a medium spiceness. At $35, this was a poor QPR. If you own any now, drink up since it doesn't appear this will improve with age. | | | |
