| | I had this bottle the other night, and in fact it was the first of the 2 I have. The first thing that struck me was the wonderful nose on this wine, it reminded me of the 1997 Cornerstone Cabernet-Cornerstone Vineyard. That is as far as the comparison got. Though medium-full bodied, wonderful dark purple in color with the outstanding nose of Chocolate, dark fruits, and vanilla, the palate was good at best. For the $35 I paid I was expecting a little more. Good Fruit forwardness, ripe tannins, noticeable glycerin, but it was the acidity that got to me. My best speculation is it may get a little better over the next 2-4 years and hold for another 3. For now I would have to give this an 88-89. | | | |
