| | Funky aroma on opening, the cork came out alarmingly easy. Light brownish red color. Not much taste. Suspecting the worst, I went down to the cellar for a backup bottle. By the time I returned, things were looking up. Cedar and freshly turned earth aromas were beginning to emerge. Tastes of sour plums, tobacco box, cedar, and a hint of black cherries. This wine was a joy for about an hour when it started to fade. 89 pts. (from 750ml, base neck fill) | |
