Acquired from the generous October TAA host j bembry last week, I cracked this open on Sunday night.

Looked exactly like a glass of cranberry juice. Even smelled like it. I found the first taste (seconds after opening) was the most pleasant. Dominated by biting tannins (initially) and dark red fruits (surprise! Cranberries!) and cherries.

After some air time, the tannins mellowed out and this became a fairly simple wine. I equate this to some vino di tavola you might find at a Macaroni Grill or something like it.

No matter the price, I would not buy this wine in the future.

80 points.
