Guess someone had to go first
  • 2006 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (7/12/2008)
Popped and poured. Nice, dark ruby hue. Pronounced nose full of ripe, red fruits and spices. Medium body. Initially, flavors of oak seemed to dominate (think vanilla bean). After about an hour the fruit really started to shine through with subtle hints of forest floor and minerals adding slight complexity. Really smooth, tannins are so supple. Like liquid velvet. Really an enjoyable drink right now but I'm going to hold my other 2 until next year (at least) as I do believe this will only gain complexity. My first KB, can't wait to try more! (91 pts.)
