Tasted May 4, 2008. PURPLE opened this by accident (was reaching for the Chardonnay) so pretty much popped and poured. Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Tight nose of black cherries, black berries, plums and a hint of spice toward the end. Flavors of black cherries, black berries, plums and just a hint of currants or maybe some other "jammy" like fruit (just a dash folks). Medium acidity, tannins and body. Good balance. Drink let's say over the next 5 years. Be sure and decant if opening now. (91 pts.)
