Popped and poured.  Medium to deep purple.  Plum, cassis, coconut, hints of cedar and dill on the nose (less of the dill component than the '04).  Medium bodied.  Very expressive new world palate with tannins so velvety I am reminded of a young Shiraz from Australia.   Flavors really mirror the nose but expand with additional hints of black cherry and mocha.  Plus finish.  Outstanding and clearly better than the '04 and '03.  Could probably hold for 6-10 years but why wait?  Drink 'em young!
Great QPR, I paid $24.95 at local discount store and at that price I may go back for a case.

$25, huh, that's what it goes for these days. I used to buy it for $15. But, it looks like still a good bottle of wine.

Unfortunately, yes...and I thought $25 was a deal!

Which brings up a question, what pricing would qualify as "value" from a Napa Cab nowadays? Under $50? Under $25? I know we've already explored similar topics in the past but pricing keeps moving up...even Mondavi's regular Napa bottling is now approaching the $25 retail mark.

Popped and poured. Dark purple hue. Forward nose shows currant, cassis, assorted black fruits plus hints of cedar and violets. Medium plus body. Palate showcases the wonderful fruits from the nose and adds hints of anise, dark chocolate, and minerals. Smooth tannins. Wonderful depth. Some would call this style new world or modern. I call it delicious. Much better than the 2004. (91 pts.)

Thanks for the TN - I think they have a pretty good lineup (when I used to taste them for the store I worked at). Their S. Blanc though was my favorite.

Popped and poured. Brief notes. Similar to TN's from July but overall this wine appears to be shutting down as it didn't show immediately upon opening but needed a good 2 hours of air. Still, quite a tasty little Cabernet and for the right price is definitely a solid QPR selection. (90 pts.)
