| | Very tasty Pinot, dark purplish red all the way to the edge, with an open nose of plum and black fruits. In a riper style of Pinot, like the Hansels, but this one does not go over the edge. Good acidity and ripeness, and a good value for the money. Don't know much about this producer, but I purchased a few bottles because they were the best in a tasting of 6 CA pinots of comparable price. Not terribly complex (yet?) but tasty, concentrated, and balanced. Showing well now. I'd say 90 points with room for improvement with age. | | | |
