2001 Hawley Cabernet Sauvignon, Unfiltered (Alexander Valley)

Decanted for 1 hr.   Not much sediment.
Color: Dark garnet with a purple edge.
Aromas:   Dark fruit, cassis, vanilla, cedar and a significant floral component (violet, rose, honeysuckle)
Flavor:  Black cherry, plum, vanilla, and a touch of aromatic flowers.   Big fruit at first with some well integrated oak and softening tannins.   A touch of acidity in the background and a nice long finish.   Smooth and not too dry.

Note that I had the rest of the bottle the following evening and noticed that the floral aromas had mostly disappeared and the black cherry flavors were now more evident.   This was a good thing IMO as there was a bit too much of this the first day.
