Opened but not poured for 2 hours prior to dinner.  On the nose, the stereotypical pinot fruit with a tad of funk thrown in; a lot of candy on the nose that did not entirely follow through on the palate.  Sour cherries and strawberries with a firm acid backbone.  Very good with pork tenderloin; this wine could overpower many dishes, but did not in this case.Â
I would expect this wine would polarize tasters; there are aspects of this wine I enjoyed tremendously, but the sweetness put me off a bit.  Overall, I'd rate this 89, but I would not argue with those who rate it +/- 5 points.  Definitely a personal taste issue.

Thanks for the note. I can’t wait to try mine someday.
