We opened our only magnum of this wine with Christmas dinner.  We decanted it for about an hour.  This was the last WHL reserve that carried the Morisoli designate.  We have consumed over 30 750s of this vintage and it never disappointed.

The wine was drinking beautifully and showed to be very near its peak for our palates.  The nose is open showing cherry, cedar and chocolate.  These follow on the palate where the dark cherry dominates.  The wine is smooth and elegant with a satisfying finish that some drinkers said they found a hint of coffee.

IIRC, the vines that produced the fruit for this wine were removed after the 98 vintage and block replanted.Â

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.
