Yes, "Failla Jordan", before the lawsuit crap. On release this was an eye-opener Pinot for me, and I absolutely feel in love with that classic Keefer spice. I am happy to report that the wine is still going strong, and will easily outlive my initial "by 2008" projection. The nose is still showing that classic Keefer spice along with typical RRV bright red fruit, but has begun to add some secondary hints of forest floor and mushroom. On the palate the tannins are soft and round, and the acidity is striking, with good structure and really terrific length, both in the mid-palate and finish. My only detraction: it is showing just a touch of heat, but that is a pretty minor point given the overall package. 92 points. |
