Dark blackish red color, kind of non-descript "red wine" nose, with red fruits and some spice.  Disjointed flavors at this stage with raspberry and red cherry one one side, tannin and spice on the finish...with more black raspberry.  Slightly hollow middle and a medium finish.  Overall, a touch alcoholic, but not overripe.  Improved with time in the glass.  This should be interesting in a few years.

I hope it's better than the 05!!! The 05 was a BIG step down from the 03 and 04.
Because of the 05, I only bought 2 bottles of the 06. I went big on the merlot instead, even though there's no track record.
I'm hoping his merlot is similar to Switchback Ridge.... I hope I hope I hope!!!
