2001 Sherwin Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District (10/1/2007)
WIML92-93,PURPLE92-93

Tasted October 1, 2007. Popped and poured. Showing amazingly well right out of the bottle for such a young California Cabernet Sauvignon. Purple to dark purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Big nose of cassis, currants, crushed black berries and a touch of either thistle or dried herbs underneath. Rich and juicy flavors of black berries, black cherries and dark plums. Somewhere between moderate and vibrant acidity, still fairly firm tannins and definitely full bodied. Needs more time in bottle to settle. Hold. (93 pts.)
