]2004 Rhys Pinot Noir Alesia Chileno Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (5/19/2007)
Opened not decanted. Strong candy apple on the nose; sweet strawberry on the palate with a dry, lean finish. After awhile, some smoke and charcoal on the nose and really dark, dense spice with a tangy, dry finish. Good. Posted from CellarTracker

This bottle did nothing for me. Nothing wrong with the wine. It is just not my style of Pinot. All fruit, a bit on the fizzy side, I've seen this sensation with some CA pinot(s), fun bottle of wine. No judgment from me since the wine is just fine but not made in the style that I prefer.

I recently popped one open, quite reductive on the nose (especially for a PN), it was better the day after, much better. Dark fruit, more balanced - a bit exotic for a pinot in light of the spice profile. FWIW, I would give it a 88-89
