I received so many shipments today that I *had* to open somethingÂ

2005 Radio-Coteau "La Neblina" Pinot Noir
- Medium ruby color. Looks like Pinot  .... Wow! Nice Pinot nose! No one would confuse this with Syrah. Beautiful, inviting entry. The flavors really fan out on the tongue. Rich, but with a decent backbone. Some stemmy complexity in the finish. The tannins are there, but are fine and not too intrusive. I love this wine! This appears to be riper and more forward than the 2004 (surprise!). It certainly seems to have less acid than the 2004 version. The finish has lots of complexity. It's like a riper and fruitier version of a great Cote de Beaune. You could wait to let the finish resolve itself, but I think it's certainly fine with food now. Another great wine from Eric! 92 points.

This is drinking well. Good bright red fruit and spice. Tannins are there if you look for them but aren't obstrusive. Acidity is medium-low. This bottle came out of a cellar that got rather warm this summer so it may be drinking ahead of it's climate-controlled brothers. I'll try one of those in the spring and see where this is at.
