Opened this bottle while cooking dinner (and noshing on some sopprasatta) and finished off with pan-seared cornflake-encrusted tilapia. 2004 Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir Alberigi - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (1/25/2007) Dark cherries coupled with bright strawberry aromas - it has that good Russian River Pinot "richness" too that envelops the nose and palate. The wine also presents itself as a opulent yet elegant package, with more dark cherries than strawberries on the palate with a nice black tea element that emerges later in the glass. Thoroughly enjoyable and looking forward to the 2005s coming out soon. (92 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker

The note above is spot on. I will add that this had a lovely silky texture and a creaminess that really added to the overall enjoyment. You know how a "Creamcicle" combines cream and orange? Well imagine a "Creamcicle" made with black cherry instead of orange. Drinking well now and well into the future.

2004 Radio-Coteau Pinot Noir Alberigi - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (4/21/2008) Really explosive aromas of strawberries and dark cherries jump out from the glass. Showcasing a lot of breadth on the palate, the wine is generous, lush and as flamboyant as you'll see a R-C wine. Delicious. (91 pts.) Posted from CellarTracker
