| 2003 Drinkward Peschon Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Mères - USA, California, Napa Valley (7/15/2006) WIML89,WA91,NOWS
Tasted July 15, 2006 at an offline. Opened and served immediately in a Riedel Vinum Cabernet glass. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of bell peppers, menthol and maybe some dark fruits. Flavors of red cherries and red currants dominate. Medium acidity, medium tannins. Medium bodied as well. I felt like this was a poor performance for the DP. I’d recommend holding about a year to let this round out in bottle more. No value recommendation. | | Wow, nothing at all like the bottle Teri and I enjoyed a couple weeks ago. Both of us are very sensitive to the bell pepper aspect in a wine, and this had absolutely no trace. We found it to be rich with plenty of lovely cabernet fruit, great texture, purfumed, and wonderful - about a 92-93 pointer in my book.

| | I have this one in the cellar. Hopefully when I finally start drinking them they'll be more like what you and Teri tasted. Not that this wine was bad. Just not as good as what you guys tasted. | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| | Had one last night and really loved it. It was dark in color with a really nice nose of dark fruits, there was only a slight green note to me bell pepper, menthol, rosemary, but was just a hint and by no means off puting to me and I definitely am not a fan of to much green in my cabs. Agree with Eric rich and nice texture. Brought the last glass home and had in Reidel Vinum stem and even better had been opened 3 hours had bigger nose and was beginning to round out a bit more. I would have scored 91-92pts. I am glad I have two more, my gut tells me it will improve but my mouth says lets drink um. Not sure which will win. | | | |

| | My first bottle is scheduled to go in 2011. I'm wrestling with whether to push that up earlier or not. | | Joe ----- Wine is like potato chips around me...if it's open, it's gone. | |

| | Picked up the last two at the store this afternoon. I will probably try one more in the Fall/Winter and hold the remaining 3 until 2009-2012 hopefully but that is assuming I keep my hands off them. I don't have the largest storage and have not been to successful holding anything more than 4-5years except my 2000 bordeax not quite 4 yet but will make it. | | | |

| opened one tonight. Like it very much - bright lifesaver-coughdrop cherry flavors, some berry and some woodsy herbs. Nice mouthfeel - not heavy but not wimpy. Will let the next one age, though. | | The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits... ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon. | |

| Brilliant dark purple color, with dark fruit and a touch of kirsch on the nose. Clearly, this bottle was in the better end of the spectrum.
Black raspberries, and primary dark fruits on the palate, but a touch of oriental spices. Quite a surprise considering the review of 2003s coming out of the Wine Spectator. Be happy if you own some of these...
Next day, tannins coming to the forefront, but still quite a lot of fruit.
Needs 3-5 years, but this bottle was quite tasty.
I'm a convert. | | | |

| I just sold some '02 and '03 on WineBid. I kept one bottle of each for my cellar. My experience with these is that they need many years - this isn't one that drinks well young, imo.
I will probably buy a couple bottles of the '04 if I get a mailer.

| | I have one bottle that I really want to open because my cellar is getting too full and I don't want a bunch of Cabs taking up space. Thanks to everybody on the notes. I guess I will hold this one for another year or so. | | | |

| - 2003 Drinkward Peschon Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Mères - USA, California, Napa Valley (11/17/2006)
Opened and consumed over 3+ hrs. A little bit of alcohol up front, largely blew off within 30 mins. Oak has disspated compared to tasting 7 months earlier and is no longer a prominent component. Enjoyable. (91 pts.)
- 2003 Drinkward Peschon Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Mères - USA, California, Napa Valley (4/9/2006)
Decanted for about 2.5 hours, but among a dozen wines informally drunk at dinner with no detailed notes. Black-fruit based wine with fine tannins and a nice long finish. Oak still has a prominent place, but not too strong. Nice wine. (91 pts.)

| $45, Retail.
Still very youthful & needs time. Though, if decanted an hour+, it would not be a crime. Still, my vote is to hold & that is what I will be doing with my remaining 2 bottles.
