2004 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir - Sonoma County, California
Decanted 3 hr’s. Big and wonderfully vibrant nose of dried dark cherries, pomegranate, hints of earth and a trace of minerals that follow through and broaden significantly on the fine, velvet palate and are nicely layered along with a streak of vanilla, some clove and dark spice that increase towards the back of the palate. Great concentration of flavors and good acidity throughout with a very full and lingering finish. Has a better nose and more layering than the ’03 had at this same point in time in its development. Can be enjoyed now with 3 hr’s decant time, but should continue to improve over the next 2+ years. S94 7/8/2006
