This wine is the second label from Peter Michael. I tasted a '99 Knights Valley Winery Pinot Noir last March that I thought was fantastic, so I figured I would give the Cab a whirl. Wine was opened, but not decanted for 30 minutes prior to tasting. Notes are on the last taste (halfway through the bottle) at 2 hrs. open. Wine tasted from Riedel Vinum Bordeaux stems.

Wine is a deep black/blue color with a cherry rim. Fairly tight nose showing some blackberry notes. Medium bodied and supple in the mouth, but with somewhat drying tannins. Flavor profile of dark fruits and oak. jb Rating 84.

This wine costs $33 ($30 w/ disc.) and I would give a QPR rating of C-. I can think of a lot of wines that give more bang for the buck than this. Time may help this wine, but at $33, I'm not going to buy more to find out.
