Tasted May 26, 2006 at a retail tasting. Opened and served about an hour later in a Riedel Vinum Cabernet Sauvignon glass. Garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of sliced plums, black berries, leather and violets. Later a little blueberry as well. Flavors of red cherries, raspberries and red licorice. Big tannins somewhat masking the young and light acidity. Hopefully this will round out with a little more time in bottle. Drink over the next couple of years as a QPR value play. Based on the $14.44 per bottle local retail price I’d say the value is recommended. (87 pts.)
