| Opened my last of three that i bought from the winery back in 2000 from their library selection. Cost, a mind-blowing $175/per. At the time i'd just gotten into wine, we both liked it, and since i had no financial obligations at the time, didn't even blink twice when ordering. oh for those days again.
Decanted for sediment and since the cork had kinda crumbled, needed to get that out too. Slight bricking evident, but not much sediment as i'd originally thought. drank straight away, with only about 10 minutes in the decanter prior to pouring. fully integrated but still with prominent fruit and a nice finish. i don't think this will get any better, but no noticeable deterioration evident. if i had more, i'd have them in the drink now category. | | |

| I bought three of these at release and have finished them. None of them were outstanding, imo. The 1985 BVGdL is a better wine at a lower price. | | | |
