’93 Fieldstone Hoot Owl Cab.-Alexander Valley-- Decanted for 15 mins. Pencil Shavings and dark fruit on the nose with lots of structure, medium tannins that melted off into a lush, fruity but structured palate of deep black cherries, plums and overripe blueberries. This winery is not well covered by WS, but nonetheless extremely worthy. Excellent showing. Could lay down for another year or two. 94 pts.
