1997 Markham Petite Sirah - USA, California, Napa Valley (10/29/2005)
Deep purple color with ruby edge. Minimum on the nose, however the flavors ripple out on the palate with expansive notes of plum, black cherry, leather and pepper. A very nice expression of this varietal. Finishes with that "where's my toothbrush" tannic feel. Not a really complex wine, but very pleasing. Drinking at it's peak IMO. (90 pts.)
