One of (too many) wines tasted at the Sir Willy Offline, held at the Grill at Meadowood Resort, Sunday, April 13th.

Clear black-red in color, with a very nice nose of cassis, bramble and mint. Tannins are slightly awkward, and it may actually be settling into a dumb phase, but it’s a tremendous example of what a fine winemaker can do with a poor vintage. Absolutely no hint of green, or unripe tannins, a fine 98 Cal Cab. 88 points, drink now-2006.
