| | Frankly I wasn’t expecting much from either this or the 1987 Ravenswood, but this one pleasantly surprised me! The 1986 showed surprisingly good color, a dark red with only light bricking. Soft red plums and leather notes on the nose follow through on the palate, tannins are smooth and completely integrated, and the wine finishes fairly short but quite nicely. | | | |
