This was a very interesting wine, as it never really seemed to open up. It may be that there is nothing more for it to reveal, but it certainly seemed to be hiding something. The color was an amazingly dark purple, almost black, without any notable bricking whatsoever. The nose was muted, but with very nice blackberry and spice notes, while the body was full and moderately tannic. I have one more bottle of this wine, it will be interesting to take more time with it and see if it performs in kind.
