Inky purple opaque wine with more sediment than expected. Nose of ripe plum, and blueberry. Generous smooth mouthfeel, almost an oozer. Tannins are soft and lush with a light oaken backdrop. The dark fruits are ripe but not overripe, leading to a sweet delicious tannic finish. Although most merlots do little for me, this wine is quite good. 90
