2000 Russian Hill Syrah “Alegria Vineyard” Sonoma County (WIML86,NOWA,NOWS)

Tasted September 24, 2005 at a retail tasting. Not sure when the bottle was opened but served in Riedel restaurant styled stems. Dark garnet color, clear throughout. Attractive nose of briar patch and pepper with just a little barnyard. Thin red cherries up front that give away to some pluminess and finishing with some earth. Drink now. Pass in my book at this price point.
