| I had a bottle of this last night with some brick oven pizzas at a local restaurant. I had taken two bottles of this with me to dinner at a friends house for an after Thanksgiving turkey dinner and enjoyed it very much.
This wine is from Monterey County (Santa Lucia Highlands) It has rich flavors of cherry and plum with accents of nutmeg, pepper, and vanilla. Very nice mouth feel, almost velvety was my wife's description. It is a well balanced wine that is not to acidic. I give it 88-90pt.
For $18 it was not a bad buy for a very good Pinot noir.
While we had it with turkey the first time, and with brick oven pizzas (gargonzola cheese, apples, walnuts, and caramalized onions on one, feta, olives, roasted red peppers and red onions on the other) the second time it would go well with beef or fish too.
I ended up ordering a case to have on hand.
