| 2001 Duckhorn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Monitor Ledge Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley (9/8/2005)
Opened not decanted. Wow. Now I remember why I bought this at the winery after tasting it there. Smooth and full of dark, lively, over-ripe fruit. Sexy, decadent stuff. The wife says "berries, sweet, creamy, molasses" and her palate is better than mine. A slight whiff of alcohol, but it is balanced so well it doesn't matter. Terrific!
